Located midway between Concord and Hanover and bordered by three lakes, New London is a small, picturesque community with a year-round population of approximately 4,500, which doubles in the summer. Town amenities include Colby-Sawyer College, New London Hospital, the Barn Playhouse Summer Theater, Town beaches, and easy access to Mt. Sunapee and Ragged Mountain Ski Resorts. Tracy Memorial Library is a 14,000 square foot facility consisting of a historical building (1820s) which was expanded in 1990 and remodeled in 2007.
